I’m Laura Newbigging, a Life and Death Integration Coach and a compassionate Death Doula dedicated to guiding individuals through times of change and transition. My holistic living approach blends practical structure with presence and compassion, creating a grounded space to explore what’s next. Together, we will embark on a life coaching journey that leads us to a path forward that feels authentic and sustainable.
After nearly two decades in the dental community, I developed extensive experience supporting people facing decisions, fear, overwhelm, and anxiety. Helping others navigate uncertainty became a natural part of my life, and it’s a skill I now bring to my life coaching practice. As a Death Doula, I understand the significance of life and death and the emotional complexities involved. Losing loved ones to early deaths — including a lifelong friend and the young daughter of close friends — gave new meaning to my path. These profound experiences fueled my pursuit of healing through holistic living.
I redesigned my life by integrating tools from various therapeutic modalities to create a balanced, grounded way of being. By identifying what brings me joy and what drains my energy, I’ve learned to live with courageous, unapologetic authenticity.
Now, I guide my clients as they rediscover themselves, navigate life transitions, and build lives that feel aligned, grounded, and true. Supporting them through these journeys is both my passion and my purpose.
I am professionally trained through Rhodes Wellness College and hold an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). My training equips me to support clients in value-centered decision-making, goal-setting, and uncovering aligned next steps — all while meeting them with empathy and presence in the realm of life coaching.
I continue to grow through mentorship and ongoing professional development, deeply valuing lifelong learning as both a coach and a human being.
My experiences navigating death and dying in personal and community contexts led me to become a Death Doula. In this essential role, I serve at ground level with compassion, presence, and care, embodying the principles of holistic living.
Today, I teach the coaching certification program at Rhodes Wellness College and volunteer as a co-creator of Doing Death Different, where I share knowledge and support others in this meaningful work.
In addition to my coaching expertise, I am also trained in Reiki and Sylvotherapy (forest therapy). These practices deepen my work with clients through energetic balance and a vital connection with the natural world.
Life is a non-linear adventure. In the coaching container, you will adapt, grow, face challenges, and celebrate your joys as you discover where you want to go next on your holistic living journey. You already have the tools to navigate difficult chapters and make decisions with clarity and confidence, much like a Death Doula guiding the way through transitions.
We all carry grief for loved ones, past versions of ourselves, and experiences we’ve lived through. By living mindfully, confronting fears, and re-examining old stories, a more purposeful and fulfilling path can emerge.
As a holistic health advocate, I have explored a wide range of healing modalities, including psychedelics such as cannabis, MDMA, and psilocybin, in pursuit of mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. These experiences emphasize the importance of understanding the cycles of life and death.
Integration is a vital part of any psychedelic journey. Coaching with me provides a supportive space to process, reflect, and embody the insights that arise, helping you move forward with self-trust and navigate the intricate layers of your life.
